After the parade, at night after
dark, MANY of the art cars participate in an "Illuminated Cruise".
We cruise downtown Houston with
LIGHTS ON, and stop to party along the
way.
Sunday AM, there is a brunch, and
awards ceremony. IMO, EVERY entry is a winner : )
And, this year, I donated desert - a
cake to celebrate Liberty Van's odometer turning 400,000 + miles.
She won't be 10 years old till end of next month,
and she's almost half way through her
NINTH year as an art car. Kind of
freaking me out, looking at that 4 on her odometer, with ALL those zeros after
it.
Next year, it will be Freedom Van's
turn. They have to take turns, unless I manage to find another driver
again. Last
year, I brought Freedom Van in her
green St. Patrick's day drag. I usually do her up in butterflies in April,
for spring
About Jan 6, 2021, I was NOWHERE near there. I was at doctors with my wonderful almost 80 year old husband,
where we learned he had a terminal illness. However, I would not have gone then, though I participated in many
ACTUALLY PEACEFUL protests over many years. I was hoping the evidence of the election fraud would be
presented to congress. I can think of NO reason ANYONE who supported Trump would NOT want THAT TO
HAPPEN! It is obvious that riot was instigated by those who DID NOT want the evidence presented. Sadly,
they succeeded.
Also, my Vermont daughter and son in law, who have 5 of their own kids, adopted 3 more a couple of years ago,
so the count of Vermont grandkids is now 8.

As a responsible citizen,
I am totally committed to being supportive, and COOPERATIVE with ALL
Constitutionally
proper law enforcement. I also do my best NOT to allow my God Given Rights to be
trampled. I have been
excercising 'civil dissobedience' in several things. I refuse
to turn off my 'Christmas' lights on my vans at night.
EVERYONE loves
them, they have hurt NO one, and I am excercising FREEDOM OF
SPEECH. I also feed
homeless people in NYC when I am asked for food. I DON'T CARE that nanny Bloomberg
made a law against it.
Also, I ignore outdoor smoking bans -
they are idiotic and mean spirited. As someone who is
very law abiding
(I don't even litter - not even cig. butts!), I expect our law enforcement to honor their oath to obey the
Constitution,
and refrain from violating my rights. If they 'pick a
nit'on my vans, I DO consider that harassment,
and I will
fight it in court.
NO one is paying me anything
to do anything. I'm a 'ticked off' grandma from
Kentucky.
It doesn't get ANY more
'grassroots' than that. All my projects are 100%
PRIVATELY
funded. They are also about 99.9% PERSONALLY
funded. Since I am not actually 'rich',
I may end up a bag lady. I am doing what I am
CALLED to do, and using EVERY inspiration,
talent, and resource
God has blessed me with. It all belongs to
Him, anyway.
